Excursion to Eger
Eger is located 100 km north-east from Budapest. Here stands the most famous Hungarian castle, important site of history, the most precious symbol of the Hungarian bravery. Visitors can have a guided walk in the inner city which is followed by a castle visit. After the tour the programme includes a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. The trip can be combined with wine-tasting or with a visit in the city’s spa.
Recommended for: castle can be interesting for student groups, for adults it can be a nice excursion taking the guests to the home of the very famous red wine called „Egri Bikavér” (Bull’s Blood).
Royal Palace of Gödöllő
One of the most beautiful Baroque buildings of the country is to be found in Gödöllő (30 km from Budapest). The palace renowned for its association with Queen Elisabeth, wife of Franz Joseph, emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. The palace was the favourite residence of the Queen, affectionately called Sissi by Hungarians. In the lovingly restored mansion the Royal suites with original furnishing, the stateroom, exhibitions and a Baroque theatre can be visited. You can take a relaxing walk in the English style Elisabeth Park around the palace.
Recommended for: children and student groups to help them imagine and visualize life of the past centuries. For individuals and for organized adult groups, especially for those are interested in history and would like to know more about the life of the most popular Queen.
Danube Bend Excursion Tour
One of the favourite programmes of the tourists is the Danube Bend tour, an excursion into Hungary’s history. The programme includes a visit in 3 historical cities by the Danube. The most farther from Budapest is Esztergom where the largest cathedral of the country stands. From the terrace behind the basilica the Marie-Valeria bridge connecting the Hungarian and the Slovakian sides of the Danube can be seen. About a half-an-hour drive from Esztergom locates the city of Visegrád, the former royal residence. Its palace and the ruines of the medieval fortress are worth seeing. The most superb view of the Danube Bend can be enjoyed from the fortress built on the top of the Castle Hill. On the way back to Budapest the 3rd historical city is Szentendre, a very popular destination. The old part of the town preserved the original Baroque atmosphere of the settlement. Szentendre is often referred to as the”artists’ village”.

Puszta Program
Visitors can get acquainted with the traditional Hungarian farm life. It is a full day programme to a typical equestrian farm. Farms are to be found 20-50 km from Budapest. Guests are greeted with homemade „pálinka” (fruit brandy) and with „pogácsa” (savoury scone) followed by a nice carriage ride. You can come to know ancient Hungarian animal races and then can enjoy a typical Hungarian horse show, performance of the famous horsmen. After the programme a traditional Hungarian lunch is served. For the whole programme the group is accompanied by a guide.
Recommended for: adults and organized groups as a pleasant excursion with the taste of „pálinka”.
Excursion to Győr
The city is situated by the river Rába in Western-Hungary 100 km from Budapest. Győr is the 3rd richest city in historical monuments in Hungary, even preserved Roman remains. After the sightseeing tour you can enjoy a couple of hours in the aquapark and in the thermal spa.

Excursion to Lake Balaton
The largest fresh water lake of Central Europe is situated 100 km away from Budapest. Besides swimming and sunbathing Lake Balaton awaits you with many other programmes. On the northern shore of the lake cities of the historical Hungary are to be found such as Tihany, Szigliget, Keszthely. Tihany Abbey is the oldest church of the region where the charter of the abbey, the first written record of the Hungarian language (1051) is kept. From the small hill where the abbey stands visitors can enjoy a stunning panorama. In the small village you can take a nice walk and can purchase products of local craftsmen. Szigliget the well-known settlement of the Badacsony wine region is waiting for the visitors. In the wine cellar of the noble Eszterházy family you can taste local wines, enjoy traditional meals and listen to authentic gypsy music. After lunch there is a possibility to visit the 3rd largest chateau in the country, the Festetics Mansion in Keszthely.
